People with Diabetes
People with diabetes often have foot and lower extremity problems due to circulation problems and nerve damage caused by the disease. We’re here to help.
The Foot Performance Center has been offering relief to thousands of patients. Doctors often prescribe therapeutic shoes or custom orthotics, which we fill and craft at our on-site lab. We modify shoes that remove pressure from painful sores that can afflict people who have diabetes. We also offer over-the-counter therapeutic shoes that offer extra room with removable insoles to accommodate swollen, sensitive feet. Several styles feature hook and loop (Velcro) closure to accommodate swelling that can occur throughout the day.
If you have any questions about whether you qualify for insurance coverage for diabetic footwear, or would like to schedule an appointment, please call our customer care line at 585-473-5950.
